We’re dog people. Whether it’s watching a seasoned dog stand tall or a young pup sticking their first find, those moments have taken ahold of us. Pure bird dog magic. We set out to build a life where our dogs could hunt September to March, bell to bell. Chasing the season south. Splicing together our favorite game birds in a migration dedicated to covey birds in spectacular locations. It’s a wild ride, and we love every minute of it.

Come September you’ll find our string of dogs making a living where the short grass prairie crashes against the sandstone cliffs of Central Montana. If we're lucky the Northern Lights dance while we share one last story of the day and sack out alongside the dog trailer.


As the Sharptail begin coming together so does our pilgrimage south. The entire length of the Rocky Mountain West. Montana to Arizona.


Wing shooting is about memories and wild birds make the dogs we remember. Our intent is to give them every opportunity and develop the best from there.

Bird Dog Training That Delivers Results

Our Bird Dog training generally falls into two different categories, Conditioning and Foundation Work. We strongly believe wild birds make real bird dogs. We built our kennel facility to give our dogs every advantage we could think of for receiving an education from wild birds. With hundreds of acres of prime habitat right out the back door, class is in session daily. Whether it is just a pup needing first introductions to the field or a seasoned dog that needs routine conditioning before the approaching season, we can help.

Spring Training

March - April

We’ll tailor a program to your dog’s needs that focuses on developing a foundation. Socializing, manners, and confidence are important elements to developing a dog that will be an enjoyable companion in the field for many years. 

Summer Camp

July - August

Focused on prepping for the coming season. This is the same program we use to ready our guide string for the season ahead. We’ll knock the rust off and condition your dog so they are ready to go come fall. Many of our summer camp dogs end up staying with us until the hunt dates their owners have booked. making logistics easy and well as reaping the reward of hunting over their own dog.

We strive to produce the dogs you reach for. A biddable collected dog in the field and home. Our English Pointer pups generally hold a high desire to not just Point, but Back and Retrieve as well. Tight feet, slender athletic frames, high tails. Our Males are 40-45lbs and our females are 35-40lbs.


One to two litters are planned each year with several pups held back. This allows prospective owners time to arrange a hunt if they wish to preview the sire or dam or to purchase a young bird dog ready for the season ahead.
